Thane city has a population of 6 lakh menstruating women, who disposes approximately 2 lakh sanitary pads every day. Currently, there is no mechanism for safe disposal of sanitary waste, due to which, it invariably clogs our drains, rivers and thus pollutes the environment
Project Sakhi is an initiative to educate women for Healthy & Safe period and Empower them to make right choice of sustainable menstrual product.
